A great read . . . .
I’m a John Newton and John Owen fan(atic) – and have been
reading them a lot lately. I found a
series of three letters by John Newton describing how he sees the development
of the believer. Not being able to find
a pdf or msw version of it anywhere I am in the process of typing it into
msw. Once I’ve done that and checked
with the publisher I will post it on the Us&Him website and let you know it’s
there.
It is a beautiful and simple description of growth, struggle
and more growth. If you want an
excellent reading experience get a copy of Selected Letters and Poems of
John Newton edited by William Carson.
Though the language can be a little dusty it is well worth the effort.
